Research Assistant II
Our team is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Research Assistant II to support cutting-edge translational research in liver cancer and metabolic pathology. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Vanilla Zhang (From Prof. Irene Ng’s research team) on projects exploring oncogenic pathways, the tumor microenvironment, and novel therapeutic interventions using mouse models and molecular biology techniques.
Key Responsibilities:

Animal Work: Handle mouse work, including husbandry, xenograft allocation, drug administration, and assisting with other animal works related with hepatocellular carcinoma.

Cell Biology: Maintain and manipulate liver cancer cell lines using standard cell culture techniques.

Molecular Biology: Perform routine laboratory assays including Western blotting, qPCR, plasmid DNA mini-preps, DNA gel running and cloning.

Lab Support: Assist in general laboratory maintenance, ordering reagents, and maintaining accurate experimental records.
Qualifications and Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.

Prior experience with animal handling (mouse models) in Hong Kong is a major advantage.

Hands-on experience with animal works and basic molecular biology techniques (Western blot, qPCR, mini-prep) is preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Good command of written and spoken English
